Chapter 2<\/p>\n

Rebecca wasted no time.<\/p>\n

She challenged the temporary protective order, requested the therapist\u2019s records through the court, and arranged for my visits with Emily to continue under supervision while the allegations were investigated.<\/p>\n

I hated the visitation center.<\/p>\n

It had beige walls, plastic chairs, and cheerful paintings that couldn\u2019t disguise the sadness in the room. Every Wednesday, I was allowed sixty minutes with my own daughter while a stranger watched us.<\/p>\n
